We are seeking experienced manufacturing process technicians to work in a dynamic, collaborative cleantech/greentech manufacturing development environment with similarly energetic team members. Individuals will work with scientists and engineering staff while supporting pilot line production of energy efficient electrochromic windows. Candidates should be comfortable performing a wide variety of manual, administrative, and technical procedures, including several repetitive physical tasks.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Processing, testing, and evaluation of advanced thin film materials
Watching for trends in data and processes and escalating potential problems to engineering for assistance in resolving issues
Performing basic electronic measurements including voltage, current and resistance
Recording and maintaining proper documentation of measurement data and procedures
Maintaining, testing and calibrating scientific lab equipment
Providing feedback for manufacturing process improvement and Continuous Improvement
Qualifications
Requirements
Detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision
Able to operate a variety of laboratory and manufacturing equipment
Able to read and understand written technical materials
Learn new techniques and apply them to work assignments
Operate sophisticated test equipment
Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
Request direction or clarification when the proper course of action is unclear
Interpret and apply policies and procedures appropriately
Able to lift 40 lbs.
Able to perform various job functions that require sitting and standing
Follows safety instructions and uses proper PPE with training and instruction
Preferred associate’s degree in a technical discipline or relevant military or civilian experience
Knowledge of basic electronic measurements using digital multimeter desired
Basic understanding of statistical analysis of data (average, standard deviation, trend plotting) desired
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
