Description

We are seeking an

experienced software controls engineer

to work in a dynamic, collaborative cleantech/greentech manufacturing development environment with similarly energetic team members. Individuals in this hands-on role will work to develop electrochromic window controls applications and develop software for a wide variety of manufacturing tools.

The successful candidate will help support pilot line production in addition to specifying and developing both low level controls and high level applications to integrate metrology, inspection, automation, and production equipment.

Ideally this engineer would be well versed in a wide variety of software engineering languages, with experience integrating production equipment into large automated manufacturing systems.

Qualifications


  • 2 to 4 years experience developing .NET software in C# or C++

  • Experience with equipment automation and factory automation a big plus

  • Experience with equipment (e.g. DNet, OPC) and factory (e.g. SECS) communication protocols a big plus

  • Experience integrating equipment with MES systems a big plus

  • Practical experience with multithreaded, reactive, or real-time software systems

  • Ability to debug software and electronic controls in a manufacturing environment

  • Equipment start up, installation support and operator training.

  • PLC software design (Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix and SLC500)

  • GUI development (Allen Bradley Panelview, RSView)

  • Motion Control (Servo Motor, VFD’s and Robotic interfaces) & DeviceNet communication.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with applicable professional experience



  • Experience with automated wash/clean, laser scribe, large scale sputter process and metrology tools a plus
